Lead Software Developer

Unique and entrepreneurial opportunity! 100% virtual company.

This role is both a lead developer and a software visionary/driver. You will learn everything there is to know about the products and the business, assuming full responsibility of design/development, production and maintenance of their web-based applications that serve several niches within the Public Safety marketplace.

This software (SaaS) provides emergency service users with all the desktop and mobile device features they need to complete their demanding tasks as efficiently as possible. Public Safety is a fascinating arena in which to develop software. Subject matter skills are as important as technical skills, as is the ability to clearly communicate with key personnel within the critical, fast-paced world of emergency services.

The current architecture is Microsoft Web Entity Framework C# with a myriad of underlying support technologies, all stored and managed in the Atlassian world. This is expected to be the platform for the near future but will evolve as needs demand. This software makes the mundane or complex task as easy, complete and as fast as possible.

This role requires the skills to jump into the deep end and come up swimming. You’ll need to be a US citizen or DHS-defined legal resident, be required to pass a significant FBI background check and complete a common sense CJIS security course and test. Continued fingerprinting, background checks and CJIS recertification will be ongoing.

Travel to customer locations within the US is expected. Hands-on experience and direct user interaction help to fully understand the software requirements of the customer’s day to day activities.

This is a fast-paced, small company in an exciting business. If you thrive in this particular environment and desire significant participation in company success and course of action, this may be just the right job for you!
